Platform Highlights:
ProQuest Ebooks is available on our award-winning Ebook Central platform. We are excited to share several enhancements to support today’s researchers, including:
- Ebook Central Research Assistant (Now available!): a responsibly developed AI tool that guides students to effectively assess the relevance of each chapter and book, helping to review, analyze, and explore new ideas with ease. Powered by trusted Academic AI, students can expect reliable outputs on high-quality scholarly content with instant chapter insights, key concepts, and features that create deeper learning and enrich the research process.
- Digital Accessibility: Accessibility is at the forefront of our design, with various features, assistive technologies, and EPUB Reader included to ensure equal access for users. We recently switched the default online reading format on Ebook Central from PDF to EPUB. EPUB is a responsive format that adjusts to screen sizes, making it compatible with assistive technologies like screen readers and ensuring a more inclusive experience for all users. Read the FAQs for more information.
- The Ebook Central Reader App, providing secure, on-the-go access and a seamless user experience. The new mobile app will provide library users with an easy way to download and read ebooks from their library, and will offer improved accessibility against the current Adobe Digital Editions reader experience. Expected release is mid-2025.
