OverDrive VALE Participation Platform Webinar

VALE invites our members to join OverDrive on Wednesday, February 19th to learn about the VALE Participation Consortia Platform, which houses a fully shareable collection of ebooks and audiobooks.

The VALE Participation Consortia Platform is a collection of ebooks and digital audiobooks using Libby that successfully launched in September 2024 with 4 participating libraries: Kean University, Rowan College at Burlington, Rowan College of South Jersey – Gloucester, and Salem Community College. The growing collection of titles is used by libraries for a variety of purposes, including to:

• support specific curriculum areas
• enhance current library collections in specific subject areas
• underpin diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
• support campus-wide library reads and book clubs
• provide recreational reading materials to students, faculty, and staff
• add digital audiobooks to the library’s collection

Participating libraries enjoy campus-wide access to the shared VALE collection, an optional local collection available only to your users, optional support with collection development and material selection, and a network of other academic libraries cultivating the same collection.
