SUMMARY:Harnessing Self Awareness - Professional Development Training
DESCRIPTION:VALE’s Professional Development Task Force invites you to attend “Harnessing Self Awareness”\, an interactive\, participatory session presented by WorkWise Labs\, designed to help explore how self-awareness can enhance your professional effectiveness\, communication\, and collaboration. Through guided activities and reflection\, you will gain insights into your own behaviors and how they impact your work and relationships. \n\nProgram Topic: Harnessing Self-Awareness\nDate and Time: December 2\, 2025 from 9:30am-11:30am\nVirtual or In-Person: Virtual\nRegistration Link: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/dOiA9F50Rm6ZG38zUaI9Qg\n\n# of Participants: Max 30 participants \n\nRegistration is first come first served and is limited to one attendee per member institution.\nIf capacity is not reached\, registration may be opened to multiple attendees per institution.\n\nIt is not recommended for multiple attendees to share one screen as the program is about self-awareness and an opportunity for personal reflection. \nWork Wise Labs sessions are interactive and participatory. \nExpectations for Participants: \n\nShow up on time\nStay for the entirety of the session\nCameras will be on (whenever possible)\nParticipate in the interactive session\n\nProgram Description:\nSelf-awareness is the foundation of emotional intelligence\, yet research shows that while most people believe they are self-aware\, only a small percentage truly are. This interactive workshop will help participants explore the key components of self-awareness and develop practical strategies for deepening their understanding of themselves and their impact on others. Through engaging discussions and exercises\, we will examine private self-awareness—knowing our values\, passions\, aspirations\, and ideal environments—and public self-awareness—understanding how our reactions\, patterns\, and behaviors shape the way others perceive us.
